The signs most commonly compatible with Aries are Gemini, Aquarius, Leo, and Sagittarius- whereas the ones not so compatible are Capricorn and Cancer. Here, we will talk about each of these signs and why they are hot, or just not.

Aries and Gemini:

Both signs have tremendous energy and creativity, as well as a strong sense of independence. The strengths of this pairing are in the need to seek out new things and also in that lack of tolerance for clingy behaviors. However, the weaknesses come in the area of communication- Gemini likes a well thought out discussion, whereas Aries tend to be more impulsive.

Aries and Aquarius:

Again, both signs are incredibly harmonious, both appreciating independence and uniqueness. However, Aquarius’ near constant need for attention may be problematic to the at times tactless Aries, but the passion lit between the two signs is undeniable. Both enjoy lively, heated debates and this can be both a blessing and a curse.

Aries and Leo:

This can be a match made in Heaven, or a relationship from hell, depending on which qualities are presented more dominantly. Aries likes to buck the trends, doing their own thing, while Leo is more keen on being socially acceptable and adored. The duo finds strength in their areas of common ground, while learning to agree to disagree at times.

Aries and Sagittarius:

This can be quite possibly one of the best pairings of the zodiac- Aries is independent enough not to take Sagittarius’ often introspective personality personally, Sagittarius has a strong appreciation for Aries’ passion and energy. Aries manages to bring Sagittarius out of his or her shell, while Sagittarius keeps Aries down to earth and realistic. Ultimately, a good pair.

Why They Don’t Work

Aries and Capricorn:

While Capricorn may appreciate Aries iconoclastic flare and individuality, conflict arises when Capricorn finds that he or she cannot make Aries conform to his or her way of thinking. Capricorns may find that while the positive energy of Aries is uplifting- their disorganized and scattered means to all ends makes them crazy.

Aries and Cancer:

While the absolute devotion of a Cancer is never a question, the flirtatious, fun and often flighty nature of an Aries can be an incredibly frustrating thing. While initially, Cancer will revel in the passion that Aries possesses, the two don’t work out so well because the relationship will ultimately be rather one sided. Aries will bask in Cancer’s devotion, but usually be unable to return it as fully.

Thinking about pairing up with another Ram? This can be an exciting, fun and refreshing relationship- but one that is incredibly passionate in the bedroom and on topics the two of you agree one, but that passion flips and turns on the duo when it comes to issues that you don’t.
