The Art of Woo-ing

Posted on September 21, 2009 by Two Becomes One

In this modern age of instant gratification, wooing a lady seems a lost art. Remember the days of wine and roses? We don’t either, but sometimes, it’s nice to be spoiled a little. Whether you have been with her for years or you’re just trying to win her hand, there are certain things that can make a woman feel very special. Here, we’ll talk about the two old standbys- flowers and chocolates.

Flowers

An old standby, flowers always send a message. What message do they send? Well, here are a few examples for you:
Tulips- not many people realize that there are several messages that tulips hold, depending on the color sent. The tulip itself is symbolic of the perfect lover- but red tulips send the same message of love that a red rose does and yellow tulips say, “You make me happy”.
Violets are another that have several meanings- send a blue violet and you say you will be forever faithful, and a white says take a chance on me. There honestly should be an entire article dedicated to roses, and there are many interpretations on this classic beauty. If you send a full bouquet of open bloomed roses, you are expressing deep gratitude, thornless roses can indicate love at first sight, white roses can indicate a heavenly affection, whereas mixing the two denotes unity. Those dainty tea roses mean that you will always remember the person, peach or coral roses show desire, as do the various shades of pink.

Candy

Another classic. However, being careful about dietary restrictions- not just women watching their weight but things like allergies and celiac’s is key. Therefor, you may want to wait on the candy until you know a person better. However, there is a secret language in candy as well- little known fact, you sending sweets to your sweet says alot more than you might think.
Sending chocolate covered strawberries shows passion and desire, whereas chocolate covered cherries can show excitement and lust. Dark chocolate impresses a desire to provide greater luxuries, and a gift of fudge, again denotes lust but can also indicate you feel she’s extraordinary. Candies with almonds can say that you crave a person, whereas peanuts and pecans show a more stable, comfortable commitment. Be careful! A gift of chocolate covered hazelnuts can signify a desire for fertility- but most don’t know that. Sending a gift of white chocolate can mean good luck, whereas milk chocolate sometimes reveals a playful innocence. Sending peppermint chocolate can show that you are open minded and optimistic, and ginger chocolates show power, success and that you find the recipient exceptional. Most fruit jellied chocolates speak of happiness and pleasure, but sending a variety box speaks of a desire to provide luxury and abundance.

There are many variations on these, and rest assured, guys, most people don’t know that chocolate can have hidden meanings- we really didn’t until we began researching this article.

  1. You can pick up the best one if you put genuine effort in it. Make a detailed and impeccable dating profile in which you describe your personal qualities, your professional qualities, financial and social background, your interests and liking, your hobbies and passions, your body attributes and age, but all should be done with honesty in free dating sites. Do not try to give any false information because that wouldn’ t help you at all. Remember, you want to have a serious relationship now and no more want to…
