Awesome Second Dates

The first date is your chance at a first impression, but what happens when you get to that second date? The second date is usually still in that honeymoon phase of the getting to know you aspect of a romantic relationship, so it, too is very important and can make a big difference. Bearing in mind that you are both still establishing a sort of foundation here and seeing where things are going to go is very important. Keeping in line with the getting to know you theme of things, make sure your second date is just as memorable as the first with these tips.

Events

Sometimes, an event can be a lovely first date- but you want to steer clear of things like family reunions and weddings. That is much too much, too fast for the initial phase of things and is best left to someone you’re pretty sure is going to be serious. When we talk of events for second dates, often concerts and sporting events spring to mind. However, if you know that your sweetie isn’t so much into sports, it may be a good idea to just stick to things like festivals, concerts and the like. Not everyone enjoys sports, but for those that do- this can be a really wonderful second date idea.

Physical activity

Some of the best second dates really don’t have to cost you very much. Sometimes, a walk through a park, zoo or museum can be a lovely, romantic second date where you can both find things to talk about, and get to know each other better in the process. Also, consider ice or roller skating, but make sure you ask to see if your interest can actually do those things. If not, you may want to stick with things that you know that they can do, such as walking. A good walk in the park on a beautiful day sometimes can be more romantic than anything, especially when paired with a carefully prepared picnic.

Fun and Games

Arcades just aren’t for kids, anymore. Large restaurant arcade combinations are around and can be a fun, lighthearted second date that makes a big impression. Taking your date out to dinner at one of these, followed by some fun time spent playing the numerous games that you will find at these places gives an impression of a fun, spontaneous personality and that is a big appeal. Most of these places have really excellent food, and an environment of pure fun and energy that can certainly be memorable and fun for a second date. Also, who knows, you may just win your sweetie a prize at the skee ball machines.

Second dates need to be a little bit more fun and light than the first. The first you are trying to initiate the romance, but the second, the nerves are a little less frayed and you’re really trying to impress. Showing your personality, or perhaps exploring eachother’s interests a little more can make for a wonderful second date.
