Lunch date tips

Lunch dates are fun and casual. They could often be scary, especially if it your first date, but if you plan it out properly it would turn out to be good.

The first and most important lunch date tip would be time management. Getting to your date on time is part of dating etiquettes. You should not keep your date waiting, as it would seem rude. Since it is lunch time, most people are in the middle of their work hours. Your partner might not express his/her hunger out of common courtesy.

The right selection of a restaurant is also essential for a successful lunch date. Keep in mind that the opinion of your date matters a lot. When deciding you should take their preferences in confidence and choose an appropriate place. Your date venue shouldn’t be noisy or too overly intimate. Try to make your date feel comfortable.

Proper table manners are an important lunch date tip. Displaying good table manners lets your date form a good opinion about you. Try not to be messy and do not stuff yourself with food. No matter how hungry you are it doesn’t hurt to be organized when eating and showing proper manners.

Another lunch date tip that you should not forget about is keeping your date entertained. If it’s your first date, then do not let them feel awkward around you. Ask your date about their interests and occasionally add your own opinions to it. Do not ask too many questions, as it would seem as you are interrogating rather than conversing. Do not try to be very intimidating.
Dress appropriately for your date. This is an important tip to keep in mind, because in case of first dates or blind dates, leaving a good first impression is essential. Your dressing should be semi-formal. Lunch dates are casual, so do not go to your date dressed up very formally or wearing something completely informal.

A final advice is to stay relaxed, comfortable and active. Unlike a formal dinner date, a lunch date does not have too many restrictions, which makes it all the more easy. Be sure to be exuberant and free, so your date can see you from a different angle. It may be worthwhile to ask your date about his/her needs, informally, that may not look inappropriate. This will surly result in you getting know about his or her likes and dislikes along with what do they have in common with you.
