Physical Signs of Attraction

You have no doubt heard that the hidden language of the body is a great way to gauge someone’s interest in you, but have you ever wondered just what signs you should be looking for. Whether you are a man or a woman, looking at the way someone physically interacts with you can be a great way to know if it’s time to make your move. Be careful, though, that there is also other flirting going on so you aren’t mistaken.

Signs of Attraction In Men:

Men generally try to posture and make a great first impression. Signs that a man may really be trying to get his message across and impress you will usually be:
Eye contact- this one is a tried and true means, locking of the eyes, the windows to the soul and all that. Generally, looking at the expression on his face in tandem with the eyes will tell you if this is politeness verses interest.

Closer- men who move in a bit more closely to you as they speak, especially with light excuses to touch, brush of the arm, perhaps “accidental” contact can all be good indicators of interest.

Sudden Politeness- a man who is suddenly just a bit more polite around you may be trying to put his best foot forward. Couple this with good posture, shoulders back, chest out, and you likely have an admirer.

Signs of Attraction in Women:

This one can be a little more difficult, but being friendly and probing just a bit more can help you to know the difference in a woman who is just trying to be nice, and someone who is interested.

Signs that a woman may be interested include:

Eye Contact- eye contact with women is a bit more intense sign and one that varies. A woman who makes lasting eye contact, or may flit her gaze to and away from yours may be interested.

Touch- this is one sign that is not often misconstrued. Yes, there are some touchy feely types out there, but usually when a woman is making excuses to touch you and to pick bits of fluff off of you, etc- those are classic flirt signs.

Hair- constantly playing with her hair, perhaps flipping it from side to side in tandem with eye contact and touch and you may want to give a phone number or make some sort of move here. In women, the signs usually all add up, more than just seeing any single sign.

Deciphering body language is not hard- most of the communication between humans is nonverbal, through body language, expression and tone, so, paying attention to these things may enable you to figure out if your move is going to be a welcomed one. Making sure that you are reading all the signs and countering with some of your own is not only fun but a great way to take control and break the ice.
