Virgos are generally most compatible with Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, and Capricorn and will usually be a great match with those signs. However, Virgos usually will not work out so well with Gemini and Sagittarius. 

Virgo and Taurus

There is a high level of great emotional harmony in this pairing. Both appreciate stability and nurturing, and balance each other very well. Taurus can often bring a stability to Virgo, whereas Virgo is wonderful for being able to calm and relax Virgo’s sometimes intense nature.

Virgo and Cancer

Cancer and Virgo can be a bit of an iffy pair- both are a bit inclined to mood swings, but also, both are exceptionally devoted. That devotion when paired with an understanding of the keen balance between sensitive Cancer and practical Virgo can be something very strong and both will enjoy taking care of one another. 

Virgo and Scorpio

At heart this is a great couple, both deeply sensitive and loving. However, at times, Virgo’s cautious nature can be a little intimidated by Scorpio’s leap first, ask questions later style of doing things. Virgo may find Scorpio to be too stubborn, Scorpio may feel Virgo has a lack of direction- but when a balance is achieved, they support each other fully.

Virgo and Capricorn

Both are practical and strong, though at times, Virgo may be very frustrated by Capricorn’s inability to bend. Virgo will find Capricorn to be a fascinating person and Capricorn will admire Virgo’s adaptability, but, there may be a lack of passion between the two. This is usually a great compatibility in business matters, but in romance can become a mundane, very mellow pairing.

Why They Don’t Work:

Virgo and Gemini

Gemini may see Virgo as something of a stick in the mud, whereas Virgo will be frequently annoyed by Gemini’s tendency to seek out the new and exciting. Virgo and Gemini both hold grudges and both take exception to being seen as “wrong” and compromise is a hard won thing for this pair.

Virgo and Sagittarius

Virgo just doesn’t get the deep thinking Sagittarian, while Sagittarius may find Virgo to be a bit boring and usually does not care for the way that Virgo solves problems. The truth is, if this couple would decide to work together and drop their pride, they would be a very long term, very intense and balanced one, but pride indeed causes this pair to fall.

Honorable Mention:

Virgo and Virgo

A dual Virgo pair should actually be at the very top of this list, though it rarely happens, which is why it gets Honorable mention. Two Virgos in a relationship balance, relate and are able to really plan through anything and can be a power couple not to be reckoned with. The only issue that usually arises is that both are such perfectionist personalities that if one isn’t quite pulling their weight, the other can become sullen and hold a grudge against the other.
